Nel dibattito/conferenza, verrà affrontata la tematica della rappresentazione di Sé nell’attuale era digitale e dei social media, offrendo spunti in ambito psichico.
Talora i Social Media sono ricercati come riflesso del Sé, come strumenti di correzione di quelle che reputiamo le nostre “storture ed asimmetrie” rispetto ad una rappresentazione digitale per così dire ‘ideale’.
Più recentemente, alcune applicazioni digitali, quali il Digital Twin, ci offrirebbero la possibilità di creare un “noi digitale”, simmetrico in tutto e per tutto, che potrebbe addirittura aiutarci a conoscerci meglio!
Laura Orsolini was born in San Benedetto del Tronto (AP), Italy on July 22th, 1984. Laura Orsolini graduated at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Pavia, in Pavia, Italy on July 28th, 2009 and she obtained psychiatry specialization at the Polytechnic University of Marche, in Ancona, Italy on May 20th, 2015. She joined firstly as visiting researcher, then she has been appointed as junior research assistant and senior research assistant at the Department of Psychopharmacology, Drug Misuse and Novel Psychoactive Substances Research Unit, at the University of Hertfordshire, in Hatfield from 2014 to 2017, within the EU-funded S.O.N. (Saver Our Net) project, the EU-MADNESS (European-wide, Monitoring, Analysis and Knowledge Dissemination on Novel/Emerging pSychoactiveS)” and the “EPS/NPS Project – Enhancing Police Skills concerning Novel Psychoactive Substances (NPS)” (JUST/2013/ACTION GRANTS). She
achieved the PGCert. in Forensic Psychology, Psychopathology and Psychodiagnostics in 2012; a MSc. in Forensic Psychiatry and Criminology in 2015. In 2016 she achieved the European Certificate in Anxiety and Depression, at the University of Maastricht, Maastricht. In 2017, she completed the International Master in Affective Neurosciences (FHML/G) at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology, University of Maastricht, Maastricht and graduated in 2022 by obtaining a MSc in Affective Neurosciences. She is currently an external PhD cand. at the Mental Health and Neurosciences (MHeNs), Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, Maastricht University, Maastricht. In 2019, she achieved a MSc. in Health Economics and Management at the Department of Economics, at the University of Ferrara, Italy.
She is currently consultant psychiatrist and senior clinical researcher Assistant Professor in Psychiatry (RTDB) at the Unit of Clinical Psychiatry, at the Department of Neurosciences/DIMSC, Polytechnic University of Marche, in Ancona, Italy. Since 2020, she was appointed as consultant psychiatrist, clinical research and adjunct professor in clinical psychology at the Unit of Clinical Psychiatry, at the Department of Neurosciences/DIMSC, Polytechnic University of Marche, in Ancona, Italy. In 2023, she joined as research fellow the Department of Psychiatry at the Kyushu University, Fukuoka (Japan) to investigate digital psychiatry applications in the assessment and treatment of severe social withdrawal conditions in youths. Her research interests are mainly on Youth Mental Health, novel psychoactive substances, web-based psychopathologies and digital addictions, new psychopathological trajectories in youth mental health, with a particular focus on the modern-type depression and hikikomori-like social withdrawal and non-suicidal self-injuries (NSSI), digital psychiatry and all applications in mental health of the digital phenotyping (by particularly identifying specific digital biomarkers to early identify high-risk young people). She is also investigating the role of inflammatory pathways in the emergence of mood disorders in youth mental health and in adult populations, by identifying specific inflammatory biomarkers to be associated with specific digital biomarkers by integrating biological and digital systems in mental health. She is currently collaborating with the Department of Digital Psychiatry coordinated by Professor John Torous with the aim to adapt and develop the Italian version of the MindLAMP to be applied to identify specific digital biomarkers in youth mental health diseases. She is currently a board member at the ECPC Task Force on Communications and Publications of the European Psychiatry Association (EPA), board member (secretary) at the EPA section on Digital Psychiatry, board member (councilor) at the EPA section on Addictive Behaviours. She is also a member of the Early Career Psychiatrists Committee (ECPC) of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA), member of the WPA Section on Addictions and member of the WPA Action Plan working group on Digitalization in Mental Health and Care. She was also previously appointed as Italian delegate at the European Federation of Psychiatric Trainees (EFPT) and she created the EFPT working group on Addictive Behaviours in which she served as co-chair. At national level, she is Regional Coordinator at the ECPC of the Italian Society of Psychiatry (SIP), board member of the ECPC of the Italian Society of Social Psychiatry (SIPS), board member of the SIPS task force on e-mental health. She is also a board member and liaison officer of the International Networking and Collaboration sub-committee of the ECPC of the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM), secretary of the ISAM Practice and Policy Interest Group (ISAM-PPIG), team member of the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP) and of the WHO-supported Network of Early Career Professionals working in the area of Addiction Medicine (NECPAM).
She is also member of the Italian Society of Neuropsychopharmacology (SINPF), Italian Society of Psychiatry (SIP), Italian Society of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (SIDBT), Italian Association of Women Physicians (AIDM), full registration with license to practice at the General Medical Council UK (GMC), Italian Society of Criminology (SIC), the World Psychiatry Association (WPA), ECPC of the Italian Society of Psychiatry (SIPGiovani), Advanced Member of the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), Network of Early Career Professionals working in the area of Addiction Medicine (NECPAM), European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP), European Psychiatry Association (EPA), Italian Society of
Social Psychiatry (SIPS) and International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM).
She is author of more than 170 international publications on peer-reviewed international journals, as first-author, corresponding and last-author. She co-edited a Book on Perinatal Psychopharmacology (https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-319-92919-4). She is the author of more than 35 international book chapters.
